Taiwan Semiconductor is introducing the low profile SOD-123W package to their portfolio of automotive qualified high voltage rectifiers.
These rectifiers provide SMA comparable electrical performance in a much smaller footprint. At a size of 3.7mm * 1.8mm * 0.96mm (typ.) the SOD-123W occupies 47% less PCB space than an SMA. The TSC SOD-123W package conforms to commodity industry standards and is compatible to DO-219AB, SMF, CFP3, SOD-123F(L) packages from other vendors.
The SOD-123W flat power package is built on clip-bond technology with symmetric pad layout and is suitable for all rectifier technologies. The package is halogen free and RoHS-compliant. All TSC parts packaged in SOD-123W are AEC-Q qualified for automotive applications.
Initial release of rectifiers in the SOD-123W package include below parts rated for 1A, in the 200-1000V range in below given rectifier families. Further current ranges will be released in the months to follow.
General features:
- Ideal for automated placement
- Compact package size
- High surge current capability
- Low power loss, high efficiency
- RoHS compliant and halogen-free
