Low Capacitance ESD Protection

Taiwan Semiconductor introduces new Low Capacitance ESD Protection devices designed to protect high-speed data interfaces at 5V standoff voltage.

All parts meet at least IEC61000-4-2 (ESD) requirements of ±15kV (air), ±8kV (contact) and support surge resistance requirements for high-speed data lines like USB, HDMI, Display Port, SATA and DVI.

Parts include 4-channel ESD protection arrays in SOT-363, SOT-26 and 2510P10 (DSON10) and an ESD protection diode in DFN1006L package.

TSC's new ultra low capacitance 4-Line ESD protection Diode Array designed to protect high speed data interfaces.

Features:

  • Low load capacitance of 0.65 pF
    Low maximum leakage current of < 0.1 µA (at the working voltage of 5.5 V)
  • Ultra-compact LLP2510-10M package
  • Features a "flow through" design Supports surge resistance requirements for high-speed data lines

Applications: USB 3.0, HDMI, Display Port, eSATA, 1394/firewire in mobile electronics, Thunderbolt


TESD5V0L1UC -
TSC's new bi-directional ESD protection Diode (VWM=5V, 2pF) designed to protect sensitive electronics from damaged or latch-up.

Features:

  • Low load capacitance of 2pF
  • 100W peak pulse power per line (tp=8/20µs)
  • DFN1006L package

Applications: High Speed Data Lines (USB2.0/VGA/DVI/SDI), Notebooks, Desktops and Servers, Touch Panel
