With our new Japanese manufacturer Chemi-Con, we are entering the field of common-mode chokes, normal-mode filters and nanocrystalline toroidal cores.
Common-mode chokes are electronic components for reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI). Chemi-Con uses a nanocrystalline toroidal core instead of a ferrite core. This material enables a volume reduction of over 50%. The higher permeability factor allows fewer windings. The weight of the common-mode choke is therefore almost halved, and the DC resistance (DCR) can be reduced by up to 40%.
These components are used in a wide variety of areas. They filter out asymmetrical interference, also known as "common mode", and therefore eliminate interference signals. They are used in power supplies, data transmission systems, industrial control systems and other electronic systems to ensure interference-free signal transmission and to fulfill EMC guidelines. In the automotive sector, they are used in vehicle electrical systems, engine control systems, communication systems and sensor networks.
