Following the customers' demands for modules with higher currents, the Chinese manufacturer for power modules Leapers offers a 900A/1200V module with pins fins, ideally suited for water cooling. The half bridge IGBT power module in a ED3 package comes with Si3N4 AMB substrate. This substrate offers higher mechanical strength with a higher thermal conductivity compared to the standard materials. The integrated high-performance IGBTs from the Chinese chip manufacturer HHgrace are massively used in Chinese EVs. Furthermore, this module offers on the backside not a standard base plate, but pin fins for optimized liquid cooling. Due to improved heat transfer a higher power density is possible. By selecting local technology leaders, we have created complete independence from the established chip sources so that we can offer a genuine alternative and security of supply.
