As probably the world's oldest distributor of electronic components, the BECK Group is one of the industry's specialists for passive and active components, displays, optoelectronics, LEDs and electromechanics. The family business – now in its fourth generation of management – stands for stability and dedicated service to its customers and suppliers from Germany, Europe, Asia, North and South America.
On August 1st, 1925 – more than 95 years ago – the pioneer Gustav Beck took the first step towards founding the BECK group in Nuremberg. Over many years, the company continues to develop steadily, successively gaining business divisions, suppliers and customers. The first expansion took place in 1963 with the entry into the wholesale of electronic components under the leadership of Dipl.-Ing. Theodor Beck. With the third generation under Dr. Dieter Beck and Dipl.-Ing. Alexander Beck, the distribution company develops into a group of companies. In 1996, Beck Kabel- und Gehäusetechnik GmbH (BKG) is founded in Rustow and only 7 years later Distronik GmbH is added to the group. In the course of the years, BEC Ltd. in Hong Kong and Beck Elektronik Display GmbH (BED) in Nuremberg were founded. From the original industrial agency for machine tools, overhead line material and insulating materials, the company gradually evolved into today's versatile sales company focusing on electronic components, assemblies and systems. With the fourth generation of management, Dipl.-Ing. Patrick Beck and Nicolai Beck, M. Sc., the BECK group of companies opens up new innovation markets and opportunities.
From the local market of the company's founder via Europe-wide and finally worldwide sales and procurement markets to a strongly digitalized modern company with family culture and history.
