Sharp Devices Europe now offers a new series of solid state relays (SSR) for general purpose, the PR33MA-Series.
PR33MA SSRs are an integration of an infrared emitting diode (IRED) and a phototriac detector. These devices are ideally suited for controlling high voltage AC loads with solid state reliability while providing 5.0kV isolation (Viso (rms)) from input to output.
The output current of these non-zero cross type devices with 6 pin DIP package is specified as IT (rms) =0.3A. Other features of this new series are a high repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM: 600V), superior noise immunity (dV/dt: min. 1000V/µs), a response time of max. 100µs and a double transfer mold construction that makes it ideal for flow soldering.
Applications for the new PR33MA-Series include isolated interface between high voltage AC devices and lower voltage DC control circuitry, switching small capacity motors and phase or power controls in lighting and temperature control equipment.
