For quite some time the general management and product management has been looking for further suppliers in the field of electromechanics. The goal was to expand our product portfolio with high performance manufacturers, especially in the area of pin headers, FFC, FPC as well as customer specific connectors.
Leoco is a company originating in Taiwan and manufacturing in China and Indonesia. Founded in 1981 with just 5 employees, it has grown steadily over the years and now employs nearly 2,000 people.
Tools and assembly machines are designed in-house. Injection molding and stamping technology as well as automatic assembly are also carried out in-house.
In addition to connectors, Leoco's broad product range also includes extensive cable assembly. Due to its predominantly order-oriented customer-specific production, in this case Leoco offers enormous development potential in Europe at this size. Likewise, the company is highly efficient in the pin header sector and is certified with the IATF16949 standard for quality requirements in the automotive industry.
Founded in China in 2004, BJD is comparatively smaller with 400 employees, but by no means less powerful. It is one of the first suppliers of connectors to enter the automotive electronics industry.
Like Leoco, its manufacturing operations include injection molding and stamping as well as automatic assembly. It has been shown that BJD is very strong especially in the area of pin headers, custom solutions and FFC connectors.
The IATF16949-certified company does more than 60% of its business in the automotive supply sector. Therefore, this company in particular offers excellent development opportunities in Germany and Europe.
